Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32): Three-way adjustable ST XTA plus 3 coilover with top-mounts

The ST XTA plus 3 coilover kit with its top-mounts features KW shocks, adjustable in high-speed compression, low-speed compression and low-speed rebound forces. With the trapezoidal thread on the MacPherson struts, the coilover kit enables a lowering of 45 - 65 mm’s at the front axle and 45 - 65 mm’s at the rear axle.

A customisable option is available for the ST XTA plus 3 kit – 18 spring colours and personalised spring text.

ST suspensions is continually expanding the suspension applications in their program and the focus is increasing on Japanese models such as the Toyota Alphard and the Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32). The rare R32 GT-R, which was developed for Group A motorsport races, was never officially offered outside of Japan but now has a cult following worldwide.

Improved driving Dynamics

The ST XTA plus 3 coilover kit gives the 1989 - 1994 Japanese built sports car an improved driving dynamic with its 3-way adjustable KW shock absorbers. With only a few steps, it’s easy to adjust the high-speed and low-speed compression settings with 24 clicks. A compression damping system that can be fine-tuned separately in the high-speed and low-speed forces has the great advantage of being able to consider the compression behaviour between fast and slow vertical accelerations.

For example, when driving over short bumps, transverse grooves, or bad pavement. In addition to low-speed compression, it is also used to adapt the body roll when turning in, and the pitching behaviour when braking and accelerating. The adjustable rebound controls how the suspension and the car body are connected to the road and to further adjust the handling. Since the Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) has MacPherson struts on both axles, all four ST XTA plus 3 struts are equipped with aluminium top mounts.
